Wish Stories

MAGIC HAPPENS

Everyone deserves a little magic in their lives. Sometimes, it just takes a fairy godmother to make it happen. That’s why there’s Fairygodmother Foundation.

By granting wishes to adults faced with terminal illness, Fairygodmother Foundation helps make dreams a reality for the individuals and their families who need magic the most. Since 1998, we’ve given them a chance for peace, closure and joy in their hour of greatest need. In 2007, Fairygodmother Foundation served 478 people by granting 147 wishes. For information on 2007 wishes, please click here.

If you want to make a donation, volunteer your time, request an application, or if you simply want more information about us, you’ve come to the right place.

Wish Needs
Road trip memories!

"I love national parks and Yellowstone is very beautiful. I want to see it with my family because it would be a good memory for them."

Kristen is a woman in her twenties from Washington, and she is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Kristen wrote to Fairygodmother Foundation asking for help with a special last wish: she would like to take a road trip with her family to visit Yellowstone National Park. She and her husband have a little boy, and she wants to create a special, positive memory for him while she is still able.

To grant Kristen's wish, Fairygodmother Foundation needs funds for hotel accommodations ($800), gas money ($250), meals ($300), park admission fees ($25), and a rolling shower chair rental ($200). Click here to make a donation or call 312.573.0028 x11.
