How We Started

Having recently celebrated our 10th year, Fairygodmother Foundation is proud to announce that we have been successful in granting hundreds of wishes and touching thousands of lives in all 50 states. Founded in 1998, we had a modest but meaningful start, granting only 19 wishes in that first year. We have grown immensely since our founding due to the enthusiastic support of numerous individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations.

Our wish recipients vary in gender and age. We create the opportunity for our wish recipients and their loved ones to make lasting memories. However, we are not alone in our mission. We have developed strong relationships with many hotels, restaurants, and theme parks, which give freely of their goods and services to assist us in the wish granting process. Over the years, corporations have been generous with cash donations to support our fundraising events, and our individual donors have never failed us. All of these wonderful individuals, corporations, and organizations have done their part by sharing the Fairygodmother story with friends and colleagues.
