- 1) I work 9-5 Monday – Friday and /or I have a busy schedule. I cannot commit on a regular basis, however, I would still like to volunteer. Is there any way I can help?
- Absolutely. Fairygodmother Foundation volunteer opportunities primarily consist of one-time events. Although we periodically utilize volunteers during regular business hours, most of our opportunities take place in the evening or on weekends. We would be more than happy to use your talents whenever you have a free day!
- 2) I have little or no previous volunteer experience. Is prior experience necessary?
- Not at all. We have opportunities available for anyone who would like to make an impact in the lives of terminally ill adults and is willing to give his or her time.
- 3) How long does a volunteer shift typically last?
- It depends on the event. The average shift is 3-4 hours, however, we would like to work with your availability whenever possible.
- 4) Do you have opportunities for groups?
- Yes. We utilize individuals as well as groups. If you have friends, co-workers or belong to a community group, we encourage you to spread the word. We would like to invite your friends to join in the spirit of volunteering at Fairygodmother Foundation!
- 5) What will I be doing as a volunteer for Fairygodmother Foundation?
- We utilize volunteers in two main areas: Fundraising and Administration. Fundraising efforts include special events, holiday gift-wrapping and summer festivals with Chicago Special Events. Administrative tasks include general office duties and data entry.
- 6) Do I have to live in the Chicago area to volunteer?
- Yes. We do grant wishes nationally, however, our office and volunteer opportunities are located in the greater Chicagoland area.

- There are two simple steps to becoming a volunteer with Fairygodmother Foundation:
