Development Intern
The Development Intern assists the Development Coordinator prepare for the Annual Holiday Gift Wrapping Drive, major special events, and help prepare printed publications. Duties include recruiting volunteers, soliciting in-kind donations, writing PSAs and press releases, and much more. Wish Granting Intern
The Wish Granting Intern works in conjunction with Wish Granting Program staff in all stages of the wish granting process including intakes, wish planning and implementation, and wish follow-up. Office Volunteer
Volunteers are need to come into Fairygodmother Foundation on an as needed basis to help in the Wish Granting and Development Departments. Duties include data base entry, filing, making phone calls, and other general office duties. This opportunity must be done in the Fairygodmother Foundation office during our business hours (anytime between 9am - 5pm).
Associate Board Special Events
Tired of the same old bar scene? Mix up your night by volunteering for a Fairygodmother bar event! Not only will this opportunity allow you to help grant wishes for adults with terminal illness, there will still be time to have a few drinks with your friends afterward! We could use your help selling raffle tickets, wishes from our wish tree, and collecting e-mails from attendees. To help, you must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Holiday Gift Wrapping Fundraiser
Tap into the magic of the holiday season by wrapping gifts on behalf of the Fairygodmother Foundation! Organize your family, friends, co-workers and volunteer to staff gift wrapping tables at downtown Borders, Barnes and Nobles and Gurnee Mills Mall. Shifts are 3-5 hours long and we will need anywhere from 2-4 volunteers present at each site. Volunteers under the age of 18 need an adult present. This is a perfect opportunity to spread a little holiday cheer, have tons of fun, all while raising funds and awareness for Fairygodmother Foundation and its work with adults facing terminal illness.
